We made a quick trip to Kansas City this weekend, leaving mid-afternoon Friday and home by 6:15 p.m. yesterday. I went to attend a Presbyterian Women’s summer meeting from 10:00 until 2:00 on Saturday at Southminster Presbyterian Church. We had a preview of the new PW Bible study, a presentation from the PW delegate to the United Nations two-week meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women and an update from the Synod of Mid-America’s team on Racial Equity Dialog. There were probably 75 women in attendance, unfortunately most with white hair, saying that there are few younger women involved in our PW organizations. Three others from PW of Southern Kansas (PWSK), good friends, were also there. It was good to see them and talk about what we can do to get our PW of Southern Kansas going again. Ken joined me for lunch at the church and ran a couple of errands before and after. It was good to get away.
