Celebrating Doris!

To celebrate Rev. Doris Evans receiving her Doctorate of Ministry, the Garden City United

Presbyterian Church will hold a reception Sunday, June 7 at 12:00pm (following worship). The church address is 1719 E. Texas St.

The reception is for all graduates connected to the church, including Rev. Evans, whose doctorate is in Missional Leadership, bestowed May 29 from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Rev. Evans has served the Garden City congregation since October 2020, first as Interim, and then as their called Minister of Word and Sacrament. In January of 2026, she also began serving the Presbytery of Southern Kansas as Associate Executive Presbyter.
