2006 Youth Council Report
 
The Moderator of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Rick Ufford-Chase, visited Covenant on Saturday, May 13th to meet with the Southern Kansas Youth Council and the Youth Leaders in Southern Kansas. There were about 45 folks at the meeting including several from Covenant: Youth sponsors Adam Erickson and Amy McCowan, Pastors Rob and Melissa, Youth Council members- Kelly Wilkerson, Steve Spicer, Jennifer Scheer, Amanda Hogue, Christian Educator Joan and Church Administrator Kevin. There were youth and youth leaders from Dodge City, Winfield, Ark City, Pratt, and Wellington. The moderator was engaging as he talked about the future of the Presbyterian Church and the role of youth, mission and multicultural outreach. He was talking about the very things we do regularly at Covenant to proclaim and share the Gospel. After his talk we shared a quick lunch and he was off to the next gathering. It was a good opportunity to talk about our church and to find out more about our Presbyterian heritage and future.
